the rock climbing centre for the ariège pyrenees

Famous for the traces of pre-historic man, you can now follow the traces
of the hardest climbers in the Ariège. Over 300 routes, mostly
hard. This is the spot if you are looking for 8s.
Génat: A few 6as to warm up on and then an array of 7s and 8s
in a tranquil hidden valley. Fancy an 8c? this is your site. 69 routes
and plenty of sun.
Alliat: Another mainly hard site, with many, many 7s on some inspiring
rock.
Sibada: 37 more routes, mostly hard. Ranging from 5c - 8a, only minutes
from the road and shaded in the morning.
Baychon: A bit more forgiving but still plenty to challenge the experts.
Made up of several sectors, Baychon offers 98 routes from 4 - 8a. Sun
on the rock for most of the day makes this a good winter site.
Other smaller sites here include the Grotte de Sabart, L'Arche and Le
Saut de l'Ours.
