    The Ariège, where the Pyrenees rise from the vinyards of the Languedoc, forms a paradise for climbing of all styles. The Ariège is a hidden gem which has become home to such notable figures of UK climbing as Jim Perrin and Stevie Haston.
    There is a huge range of climbing available in the Ariège. Sport climbing, trad, single pitch, multi-pitch up to 35 pitches and ice in the winter. There are many climbing sites, the best known being Sinsat, Orlu, Auzat and Calamès. These sites provide limestone, granite and gneiss. Targassonne, Laramade and Orlu all offer great granite boulders.
    We welcome climbers to the Ariège from all over the world. The transport links and access from the UK, Spain and the rest of Europe are excellent. We offer a variety of accommodation to climbers and other sports people in a 200 year old former smithy, La Forge.
